PDB entry 4jd8 (supersedes 4e87)
Racemic-[Ru(phen)2(dppz)]2+] bound to synthetic DNA at high resolution
The structure was published by Hall, J.P., Cook, D., Morte, S.R., et al., Winter, G., Kelly, J.M., and Cardin, C.J., in 2013 in a paper entitled "X-ray Crystal Structure of rac-[Ru(phen)2dppz](2+) with d(ATGCAT)2 Shows Enantiomer Orientations and Water Ordering." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.16 Å and deposited in 2013.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of DNA (5'-D(*AP*TP*GP*CP*AP*T)-3').
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule most likely forms homodimers.
