4da3 Summary

Crystal structure of an intramolecular human telomeric DNA G-quadruplex 21-mer bound by the naphthalene diimide compound MM41.

The structure was published by Micco, M., Collie, G.W., Dale, A.G., et al., Gunaratnam, M., Reszka, A.P., and Neidle, S., in 2013 in a paper entitled "Structure-based design and evaluation of naphthalene diimide g-quadruplex ligands as telomere targeting agents in pancreatic cancer cells." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.4 Å and deposited in 2012.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of DNA (5'-D(*GP*GP*GP*TP*TP*AP*GP*GP*GP*TP*TP*AP*GP*GP*GP*TP*TP*AP*GP*GP*G)-3').

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.

We do not have any cross references for this entry to other databases.
