Crystal structure of UndA with Iron Citrate bound
The structure was published by Edwards, M.J., Hall, A., Shi, L., et al., Butt, J.N., Richardson, D.J., and Clarke, T.A., in 2012 in a paper entitled "The Crystal Structure of the Extracellular 11-heme Cytochrome UndA Reveals a Conserved 10-heme Motif and Defined Binding Site for Soluble Iron Chelates." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.23 Å and deposited in 2011.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of UndA. This molecule has the UniProt identifier F8UWD6 (F8UWD6_9GAMM). The sample contained 874 residues which is 97% of the natural sequence. Out of 874 residues 800 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
