Crystal structure of PI3K-gamma in complex with triazine-benzimidazole 1
The structure was published by Peterson, E.A., Andrews, P.S., Be, X., et al., Whittington, D.A., Cai, T., and La, D.S., in 2011 in a paper entitled "Discovery of triazine-benzimidazoles as selective inhibitors of mTOR." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.9 Å and deposited in 2011.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit gamma isoform. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P48736 (PK3CG_HUMAN). The sample contained 960 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 960 residues 836 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
