Crystal structure of mouse autotaxin in complex with 22:6-LPA
There is a Quite Interesting Protein Structure article for this entry.
The structure was published by Nishimasu, H., Okudaira, S., Hama, K., et al., Takagi, J., Aoki, J., and Nureki, O., in 2011 in a paper entitled "Crystal structure of autotaxin and insight into GPCR activation by lipid mediators" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.704 Å and deposited in 2010.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase family member 2. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q9R1E6 (ENPP2_MOUSE). The sample contained 831 residues which is 99% of the natural sequence. Out of 831 residues 769 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
