Crystal structure of human choline kinase beta in complex with phosphorylated hemicholinium-3 and adenosine nucleotide
The structure was published by Hong, B.S., Allali-Hassani, A., Tempel, W., et al., Dimov, S., Vedadi, M., and Park, H.W., in 2010 in a paper entitled "Crystal structures of human choline kinase isoforms in complex with hemicholinium-3: single amino acid near the active site influences inhibitor sensitivity." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.302 Å and deposited in 2008.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Choline/ethanolamine kinase. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q9Y259 (CHKB_HUMAN). The sample contained 379 residues which is 91% of the natural sequence. Out of 379 residues 330 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule most likely forms homodimers.
