The structure was published by Schumacher, M.A., Piro, K.M., Xu, W., Hansen, S., Lewis, K., and Brennan, R.G., in 2009 in a paper entitled "Molecular mechanisms of HipA-mediated multidrug tolerance and its neutralization by HipB." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.54 Å and deposited in 2008.
