3cly Summary

Crystal Structure of FGF Receptor 2 (FGFR2) Kinase Domains Trapped in Trans-Phosphorylation Reaction

The structure was published by Chen, H., Xu, C.F., Ma, J., et al., Miller, W.T., Neubert, T.A., and Mohammadi, M., in 2008 in a paper entitled "A crystallographic snapshot of tyrosine trans-phosphorylation in action" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.0 Å and deposited in 2008.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of Fibroblast growth factor receptor 2. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P21802 (FGFR2_HUMAN)search. The sample contained 334 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 334 residues 282 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule has more than one probable quaternary state observed. For more details see the quaternary structure page.
