The structure was published by Montanari, R., Saccoccia, F., Scotti, E., et al., Mazza, F., Aschi, M., and Pochetti, G., in 2008 in a paper entitled "Crystal Structure of the Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor gamma (PPARgamma) Ligand Binding Domain Complexed with a Novel Partial Agonist: A New Region of the Hydrophobic Pocket Could Be Exploited for Drug Design" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.6 Å and deposited in 2007.
