Crystal Structure of Carbohydrate-Binding Module Family 28 from Clostridium josui Cel5A in complex with cellopentaose

The structure was published by Tsukimoto, K., Takada, R., Araki, Y., et al., Shoun, H., Watanabe, T., and Fushinobu, S., in 2010 in a paper entitled "Recognition of cellooligosaccharides by a family 28 carbohydrate-binding module." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.6 Å and deposited in 2010.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of Beta-1,4-endoglucanase. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q59290 (Q59290_CLOJO)search. The sample contained 203 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 203 residues 193 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
