Carbonmonoxy Sperm Whale Myoglobin at 140 K: Laser on [300 min]
The structure was published by Tomita, A., Sato, T., Ichiyanagi, K., et al., Yamato, T., Koshihara, S., and Adachi, S., in 2009 in a paper entitled "Visualizing breathing motion of internal cavities in concert with ligand migration in myoglobin." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.21 Å and deposited in 2008.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Myoglobin. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P02185 (MYG_PHYCD). The sample contained 153 residues which is 99% of the natural sequence. Out of 153 residues 153 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
