AURORA-A BOUND TO AN INHIBITOR
The structure was published by Bavetsias, V., Large, J.M., Sun, C., et al., Blagg, J., Linardopoulos, S., and Mcdonald, E., in 2010 in a paper entitled "Imidazo[4,5-B]Pyridine Derivatives as Inhibitors of Aurora Kinases: Lead Optimization Studies Toward the Identification of an Orally Bioavailable Preclinical Development Candidate." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 3.35 Å and deposited in 2010.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of SERINE/THREONINE-PROTEIN KINASE 6. This molecule has the UniProt identifier O14965 (AURKA_HUMAN). The sample contained 285 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 285 residues 240 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
