CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF CHECKPOINT KINASE 1 (CHK1) IN COMPLEX WITH INHIBITORS

The structure was published by Matthews, T.P., Klair, S., Burns, S., et al., Garrett, M.D., Reader, J., and Collins, I., in 2009 in a paper entitled "Identification of Inhibitors of Checkpoint Kinase 1 Through Template Screening." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.45 Å and deposited in 2009.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of SERINE/THREONINE-PROTEIN KINASE CHK1. This molecule has the UniProt identifier O14757 (CHK1_HUMAN)search. The sample contained 289 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 289 residues 245 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
