Structure of E163K DJ-1
The structure was published by Lakshminarasimhan, M., Maldonado, M.T., Zhou, W., Fink, A.L., and Wilson, M.A., in 2008 in a paper entitled "Structural Impact of Three Parkinsonism-Associated Missense Mutations on Human DJ-1." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.15 Å and deposited in 2007.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Protein DJ-1. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q99497 (PARK7_HUMAN). The sample contained 192 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 192 residues 186 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
The molecule most likely forms homodimers.
