Crystal structure of a lectin from Canavalia maritima seeds (CML) in complex with man1-4man-OMe
The structure was published by Bezerra, G.A., Oliveira, T.M., Moreno, F.B.M.B., et al., Delatorre, P., de Azevedo Jr., W.F., and Cavada, B.S., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Structural analysis of Canavalia maritima and Canavalia gladiata lectins complexed with different dimannosides: new insights into the understanding of the structure-biological activity relationship in legume lectins." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.1 Å and deposited in 2007.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of Lectin.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule most likely forms homotetramers.
