Crystal structure of Pim1 with Quercetin

The structure was published by Holder, S., Zemskova, M., Zhang, C., et al., Bremer, R., Neidigh, J.W., and Lilly, M.B., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Characterization of a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of the PIM1 kinase." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.24 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of Proto-oncogene serine/threonine-protein kinase Pim-1. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P11309 (PIM1_HUMAN)search. The sample contained 293 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 293 residues 274 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
