A 3.02 angstrom crystal structure of wild-type apo GroEL in a monoclinic space group

The structure was published by Kiser, P.D., Lodowski, D.T., and Palczewski, K., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Purification, crystallization and structure determination of native GroEL from Escherichia coli lacking bound potassium ions" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 3.02 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
