Crystal structure of EGFR kinase domain in complex with Iressa
The structure was published by Yun, C.-H., Boggon, T.J., Li, Y., et al., Greulich, H., Meyerson, M., and Eck, M.J., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Structures of Lung Cancer-Derived Egfr Mutants and Inhibitor Complexes: Mechanism of Activation and Insights Into Differential Inhibitor Sensitivity" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 3.42 Å and deposited in 2006.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of EPIDERMAL GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P00533 (EGFR_HUMAN). The sample contained 327 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 327 residues 299 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
