Crystal structure of the CIA- histone H3-H4 complex
The structure was published by Natsume, R., Eitoku, M., Akai, Y., Sano, N., Horikoshi, M., and Senda, T., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Structure and function of the histone chaperone CIA/ASF1 complexed with histones H3 and H4." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.7 Å and deposited in 2006.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains a complex of 3 biomacromolecules, namely ASF1A protein, Histone H3.1, and Histone H4.
The molecule most likely forms heterotrimers.
