Human Abl kinase domain in complex with imatinib (STI571, Glivec)
The structure was published by Cowan-Jacob, S.W., Fendrich, G., Floersheimer, A., et al., Centeleghe, M., Fabbro, D., and Manley, P.W., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Structural biology contributions to the discovery of drugs to treat chronic myelogenous leukaemia." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.4 Å and deposited in 2006.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase ABL1.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
