Crystal Structure of Mnk2-D228G in complex with Staurosporine

The structure was published by Jauch, R., Cho, M.K., Netter, C., et al., Aicher, B., Zweckstetter, M., and Wahl, M.C., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Mitogen-activated protein kinases interacting kinases are autoinhibited by a reprogrammed activation segment." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.71 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of MAP kinase-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 2. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q9HBH9 (MKNK2_HUMAN)search. The sample contained 316 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 316 residues 270 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
