The structure was published by Jauch, R., Cho, M.K., Netter, C., et al., Aicher, B., Zweckstetter, M., and Wahl, M.C., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Mitogen-activated protein kinases interacting kinases are autoinhibited by a reprogrammed activation segment." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.71 Å and deposited in 2006.
