Crystal structure of VDR LBD in complex with 2alpha-(1-propoxy) calcitriol
The structure was published by Hourai, S., Fujishima, T., Kittaka, A., et al., Takayama, H., Rochel, N., and Moras, D., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Probing a Water Channel near the A-Ring of Receptor-Bound 1alpha,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 with Selected 2alpha-Substituted Analogues" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.96 Å and deposited in 2006.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Vitamin D3 receptor. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P11473 (VDR_HUMAN). The sample contained 263 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 263 residues 253 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
