Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 1b bound to DNA: MODY5 Gene Product

The structure was published by Lu, P., Rha, G.B., and Chi, Y.I., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Structural basis of disease-causing mutations in hepatocyte nuclear factor 1beta." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 3.2 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 3 biomacromolecules, namely 5'-D(*CP*TP*TP*GP*GP*TP*TP*AP*AP*TP*AP*AP*TP*TP*CP*AP*CP*CP*AP*G)-3', 5'-D(*GP*CP*TP*GP*GP*TP*GP*AP*AP*TP*TP*AP*TP*TP*AP*AP*CP*CP*AP*A)-3', and Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1-beta.

The molecule most likely forms heterotetramers.
