The structure was published by Winum, J.Y., Temperini, C., El Cheikh, K., et al., Montero, J.L., Scozzafava, A., and Supuran, C.T., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors: clash with Ala65 as a means for designing inhibitors with low affinity for the ubiquitous isozyme II, exemplified by the crystal structure of the topiramate sulfamide analogue." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.9 Å and deposited in 2006.
