A novel anti-adipogenic partial agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPARG) recruits pparg-coactivator-1 alpha (PGC1A) but potentiates insulin signaling in vitro

The structure was published by Burgermeister, E., Schnoebelen, A., Flament, A., et al., Sebokova, E., Niesor, E., and Meyer, M., in 2006 in a paper entitled "A novel partial agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPARgamma) recruits PPARgamma-coactivator-1alpha, prevents triglyceride accumulation, and potentiates insulin signaling in vitro" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.99 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 2 biomacromolecules, namely Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma and Nuclear receptor coactivator 1.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms heterodimers.
