Crystallographic structure of a rheumatoid arthritis MHC susceptibility allele, HLA-DR1 (DRB1*0101), complexed with the immunodominant determinant of human type II collagen

The structure was published by Rosloniec, E.F., Ivey, R.A., Whittington, K.B., Kang, A.H., and Park, H.W., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Crystallographic Structure of a Rheumatoid Arthritis MHC Susceptibility Allele, HLA-DR1 (DRB1*0101), Complexed with the Immunodominant Determinant of Human Type II Collagen." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 3.1 Å and deposited in 2006.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 3 biomacromolecules, namely H-2 class II histocompatibility antigen, E-K alpha chain, HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DRB1-1 beta chain, and Collagen alpha-1(II).

The molecule has more than one probable quaternary state observed. For more details see the quaternary structure page.
