alpha-spectrin SH3 domain A56G mutant
The structure was published by Casares, S., Lopez-Mayorga, O., Vega, M.C., Camara-Artigas, A., and Conejero-Lara, F., in 2007 in a paper entitled "Cooperative propagation of local stability changes from low-stability and high-stability regions in a SH3 domain" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.85 Å and deposited in 2005.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Spectrin alpha chain, brain. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P07751 (SPTN1_CHICK). The sample contained 62 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 62 residues 62 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
