The structure was published by Bouyain, S., Longo, P.A., Li, S., Ferguson, K.M., and Leahy, D.J., in 2005 in a paper entitled "The extracellular region of ErbB4 adopts a tethered conformation in the absence of ligand" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.396 Å and deposited in 2005.
