The structure was published by De Azevedo, W.F., Leclerc, S., Meijer, L., Havlicek, L., Strnad, M., and Kim, S.H., in 1997 in a paper entitled "Inhibition of cyclin-dependent kinases by purine analogues: crystal structure of human cdk2 complexed with roscovitine." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.4 Å and deposited in 2005.
