The structure was published by Pejchal, R., Sargeant, R., and Ludwig, M.L., in 2005 in a paper entitled "Structures of NADH and CH(3)-H(4)Folate Complexes of Escherichia coli Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase Reveal a Spartan Strategy for a Ping-Pong Reaction" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.85 Å and deposited in 2005.
