Crystal Structure of Human Placental Lactogen
The structure was published by Walsh, S.T.R. and Kossiakoff, A.A., in 2006 in a paper entitled "Crystal Structure and Site 1 Binding Energetics of Human Placental Lactogen." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.0 Å and deposited in 2005.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Chorionic somatomammotropin hormone. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P0DML2 (CSH1_HUMAN). The sample contained 191 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 191 residues 160 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
