Structure of unphosphorylated c-Src in complex with an inhibitor
The structure was published by Cowan-Jacob, S.W., Fendrich, G., Manley, P.W., et al., Fabbro, D., Liebetanz, J., and Meyer, T., in 2005 in a paper entitled "The Crystal Structure of a c-Src Complex in an Active Conformation Suggests Possible Steps in c-Src Activation" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.91 Å and deposited in 2004.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P12931 (SRC_HUMAN). The sample contained 452 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 452 residues 448 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
