The structure was published by Holmes, M.A., Paulsene, W., Jide, X., Ratledge, C., and Strong, R.K., in 2005 in a paper entitled "Siderocalin (Lcn 2) Also Binds Carboxymycobactins, Potentially Defending against Mycobacterial Infections through Iron Sequestration" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.1 Å and deposited in 2004.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
