Crystal structure of Siderocalin (NGAL, Lipocalin 2) complexed with TRENCAM-3,2-HOPO, a cepabactin analogue
The structure was published by Holmes, M.A., Paulsene, W., Jide, X., Ratledge, C., and Strong, R.K., in 2005 in a paper entitled "Siderocalin (Lcn 2) Also Binds Carboxymycobactins, Potentially Defending against Mycobacterial Infections through Iron Sequestration" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.1 Å and deposited in 2004.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule has more than one probable quaternary state observed. For more details see the quaternary structure page.
