Urate oxidase from aspergillus flavus complexed with 5-amino 6-nitro uracil

The structure was published by Retailleau, P., Colloc'h, N., Vivares, D., et al., Castro, B., El Hajji, M., and Prange, T., in 2005 in a paper entitled "Urate oxidase from Aspergillus flavus: new crystal-packing contacts in relation to the content of the active site." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.64 Å and deposited in 2004.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of Uricase. This molecule has the UniProt identifier Q00511 (URIC_ASPFL)search. The sample contained 301 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 301 residues 295 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms homotetramers.
