The structure was published by Stieglitz, K., Stec, B., Baker, D.P., and Kantrowitz, E.R., in 2004 in a paper entitled "Monitoring the Transition from the T to the R State in E.coli Aspartate Transcarbamoylase by X-ray Crystallography: Crystal Structures of the E50A Mutant Enzyme in Four Distinct Allosteric States." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.55 Å and deposited in 2004.
