Crystal structure of family 11 xylanase in complex with inhibitor (XIP-I)

The structure was published by Payan, F., Leone, P., Porciero, S., et al., Gilbert, H.J., Juge, N., and Roussel, A., in 2004 in a paper entitled "The Dual Nature of the Wheat Xylanase Protein Inhibitor XIP-I: STRUCTURAL BASIS FOR THE INHIBITION OF FAMILY 10 AND FAMILY 11 XYLANASES." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.5 Å and deposited in 2004.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 2 biomacromolecules, namely xylanase inhibitor protein I and endo-1,4-xylanase.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms heterodimers.
