EcoRV bound to cognate DNA and Mn2+
The structure was published by Horton, N.C. and Perona, J.J., in 2004 in a paper entitled "DNA Cleavage by EcoRV Endonuclease: Two Metal Ions in Three Metal Ion Binding Sites" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.15 Å and deposited in 2004.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
This PDB entry contains a complex of 2 biomacromolecules, namely 5'-D(*C*AP*AP*GP*AP*TP*AP*TP*CP*TP*T)-3' and Type II restriction enzyme EcoRV.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule most likely forms heterotetramers.
