The structure was published by Horton, N.C. and Perona, J.J., in 2004 in a paper entitled "DNA cleavage by EcoRV endonuclease: Two metal ions in three metal ion binding sites" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.5 Å and deposited in 2004.
