The structure was published by Xu, Q., Axelrod, H.L., Abresch, E.C., Paddock, M.L., Okamura, M.Y., and Feher, G., in 2004 in a paper entitled "X-Ray Structure Determination of Three Mutants of the Bacterial Photosynthetic Reaction Centers from Rb. sphaeroides; Altered Proton Transfer Pathways." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.4 Å and deposited in 2003.
