Structural refinement of the complex of bone morphogenetic protein 2 and its type IA receptor

The structure was published by Keller, S., Nickel, J., Zhang, J.L., Sebald, W., and Mueller, T.D., in 2004 in a paper entitled "Molecular recognition of BMP-2 and BMP receptor IA." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.863 Å and deposited in 2003.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 2 biomacromolecules, namely bone morphogenetic protein 2 and bone morphogenetic protein receptor type IA.

The molecule most likely forms heterotetramers.
