The structure was published by Lewis, H.A., Buchanan, S.G., Burley, S.K., et al., Zhang, M., Zhao, X., and Emtage, S., in 2004 in a paper entitled "Structure of nucleotide-binding domain 1 of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.5 Å and deposited in 2003.
