Structure of thaumatin in a hexagonal space group
The structure was published by Charron, C., Giege, R., and Lorber, B., in 2004 in a paper entitled "Structure of thaumatin in a hexagonal space group: comparison of packing contacts in four crystal lattices." (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.6 Å and deposited in 2003.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of Thaumatin I.
The molecule has more than one probable quaternary state observed. For more details see the quaternary structure page.
