1p14 Summary

Crystal structure of a catalytic-loop mutant of the insulin receptor tyrosine kinase

The structure was published by Li, S., Covino, N.D., Stein, E.G., Till, J.H., and Hubbard, S.R., in 2003 in a paper entitled "Structural and biochemical evidence for an autoinhibitory role for tyrosine 984 in the juxtamembrane region of the insulin receptor" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.9 Å and deposited in 2003.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of insulin receptor. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P06213 (INSR_HUMAN)search. The sample contained 306 residues which is < 90% of the natural sequence. Out of 306 residues 282 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

The molecule is most likely monomeric.
