Trypanosoma rangeli sialidase in complex with the inhibitor DANA
The structure was published by Buschiazzo, A., Tavares, G.A., Campetella, O., et al., Amaya, M.F., Frasch, A.C.C., and Alzari, P.M., in 2000 in a paper entitled "Structural basis of sialyltransferase activity in trypanosomal sialidases" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.9 Å and deposited in 2002.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of sialidase. This molecule has the UniProt identifier O44049 (O44049_TRYRA). The sample contained 638 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 638 residues 615 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule is most likely monomeric.
