1mqf Summary

PDB entry 1mqf (supersedes 2caf)

Compound I from Proteus mirabilis catalase

The structure was published by Andreoletti, P., Pernoud, A., Sainz, G., Gouet, P., and Jouve, H.M., in 2003 in a paper entitled "Structural studies of Proteus mirabilis catalase in its ground state, oxidized state and in complex with formic acid." (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 2.5 Å and deposited in 2002.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.

The PDB entry contains the structure of Catalase. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P42321 (CATA_PROMI)search. The sample contained 484 residues which is 100% of the natural sequence. Out of 484 residues 476 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms homotetramers.
