The structure was published by Sun, T., Nukaga, M., Mayama, K., Braswell, E.H., and Knox, J.R., in 2003 in a paper entitled "Comparison of beta-lactamases of classes A and D: 1.5A crystallographic structure of the class D OXA-1 oxacillinase" (abstract).

This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.5 Å and deposited in 2002.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
