The structure was published by Mallis, R.J., Brazin, K.N., Fulton, D.B., and Andreotti, A.H., in 2002 in a paper entitled "Structural characterization of a proline-driven conformational switch within the Itk SH2 domain" (abstract).

The structure was determined using NMR spectroscopy and deposited in 2002.
