Structure of recombinant mouse L chain ferritin at 1.2 A resolution
The structure was published by Granier, T., Langlois D'Estaintot, B., Gallois, B., et al., Precigoux, G., Santambrogio, P., and Arosio, P., in 2003 in a paper entitled "Structural description of the active sites of mouse L-chain ferritin at 1.2A resolution" (abstract).
This crystal structure was determined using X-ray diffraction at a resolution of 1.21 Å and deposited in 2002.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.
The PDB entry contains the structure of FERRITIN LIGHT CHAIN 1. This molecule has the UniProt identifier P29391 (FRIL1_MOUSE). The sample contained 182 residues which is 99% of the natural sequence. Out of 182 residues 165 were observed and are deposited in the PDB.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The most likely quaternary structure is a 24meric assembly.
