STRUCTURE OF BOVINE RHODOPSIN IN A TRIGONAL CRYSTAL FORM
The structure was published by Li, J., Edwards, P., Burghammer, M., Villa, C., and Schertler, G.F.X., in 2004 in a paper entitled "Structure of Bovine Rhodopsin in a Trigonal Crystal Form" (abstract).
This crystal structure
was determined using
X-ray diffraction
at a resolution of 2.65 Å and deposited in 2002.
A re-refinement of this structure, using the same experimental data but carried out by different authors, is available as entry 3c9l.
The experimental data on which the structure is based was also deposited.
This PDB entry contains multiple copies of the structure of RHODOPSIN.
It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.
The molecule most likely forms homodimers.
