CO(III)-BLEOMYCIN-OOH BOUND TO AN OLIGONUCLEOTIDE CONTAINING A PHOSPHOGLYCOLATE LESION

The structure was published by Hoehn, S.T., Junker, H.D., Bunt, R.C., Turner, C.J., and Stubbe, J., in 2001 in a paper entitled "Solution structure of Co(III)-bleomycin-OOH bound to a phosphoglycolate lesion containing oligonucleotide: implications for bleomycin-induced double-strand DNA cleavage." (abstract).

The structure was determined using NMR spectroscopy and deposited in 2000.

The experimental data on which the structure is based was not deposited.

This PDB entry contains a complex of 3 biomacromolecules, namely 5'-D(*CP*CP*AP*AP*AP*G)-3', 5'-D(P*AP*CP*TP*GP*GP*G)-3', and 5'-D(*CP*CP*CP*AP*GP*TP*AP*CP*TP*TP*TP*GP*G)-3'.

It also contains one or more heterogenic compounds (e.g., ligands, co-factors, ions, modified amino acids, etc.); see here for a complete list.

The molecule most likely forms heterotrimers.
